The exercise asks us to fill in the blanks with “lo”, “lo que” and “que” according to the situation.

To answer we must know that “it”, “what” and “that” are connectors and are used to start explanations and other sentences. We will translate the text when it is answered.

“Repito que es completamente falso **lo que** (1) ha salido en la prensa sensacionalista. Siempre habíamos querido una ceremonia pequeña y privada para mantener **lo** (2) romántico de la ocasión. El lugar, la fecha, los pocos invitados pues todo **lo que** (3) tuvimos planeado desde hace meses. iAy, **que** (4) difícil fue guardar el secreto para que el publico no se diera cuenta de **lo que** (5) estábamos planeando! **lo que**(6) más me molesta es que la prensa nos acuse de un romance súbito. **lo** (7) nuestro es un amor que comenzó hace dos años y que durara para toda la vida. ¡Ya **lo** (8) verán con el tiempo!”

**Now the translation:**

* “I repeat that it is completely untrue what has been in the tabloids. We had always wanted a small and private ceremony to keep the occasion romantic. The place, the date, the few guests and everything we had planned for months. oh, how hard it was to keep it a secret so that the public wouldn’t realize what we were planning! what bothers me the most is that the press accuses us of a sudden romance. what we have is a love that started two years ago and will last a lifetime. you will see in time!”

**HINT:** *Connectors vary according to the topic, the place, the context or who they are referring to. Don’t be afraid to play with them, usually if you look for the one that sounds the best and makes the most sense it will be the right one.*

We have to order the sentences by adding *”lo”* + the adjective/adverb + *”que”*.
