* Can you patent nature? Do pharmaceutical companies have the right to patent plants? To they have the right to do it if they modify the genetic structure of the plant? What are the possible consequences of patenting plants and living organisms?

So, you could say:

*No se debería poder patentar la naturaleza. Las compañías farmacéuticas pueden hacerlo si tienen el dinero, pero no es correcto, ni siquiera aunque modifiquen la estructura genética de la planta. You shouldn’t be able to patent nature. Pharmaceutical companies can do it if they have the money, but it’s not correct, even if they modify the plant genetically. It’s something that comes from nature, it’s not anybody’s creation, and, if living organisms are patented, they are going to try to take them away from the communities that have them. It’s not right to take living organisms out of their environment for money.
