Method.
A message from a student is given in this exercise. Read the message twice to understand it and then head onto the statements section. You will read each statement carefully and decide whether it is true (cierto; C) or false (falso; F). Below, you will find an analysis for each statement.

Analysis.

Dentro de la mochila hay un libro.

The message begins with a list of the items Miguel carries in his backpack. You will notice that he says nothing about a book, thus you would mark this statement as false.

Miguel nunca tiene su mochila.

The next sentence in the text suggests the opposite of the statement: Miguel always has his backpack. Hence, this statement is false.

Miguel siempre va al pasillo cerca de la oficina.

Continue reading and you will notice how the student says he goes to the hallway close to the library. Thus, this statement is also false.

Miguel no está tranquilo.

In the last paragraph, you will see that it says that Miguel is nervous. This means that the statement is true.

Miguel necesita el examen de matemáticas.

At the beginning of the text, the exam was on Miguel’s list. In the last sentence, he confirms that he needs it, thus this statement is true.
