Exercise 2
Step 1
1 of 4
Objective.
The objective of this exercise is to practise Spanish grammar.
Step 2
2 of 4
Method.
In this exercise, you are given four sets, which contain the grammatical possessor, the subject, the verb and its predicative. You will link these in full sentences by replacing the possessor with the appropriate unstressed form of the possesive adjective and by using the adecuate conjugated form of the verb. Below, you will find an analysis of the first task for further guidance.
Step 3
3 of 4
Analysis.

yo / hermanos / ser / altos

You will choose the appropriate possessive adjective by defining the grammatical person it corresponds to. “Yo” matches the first person singular, thus you would choose from “mi” or “mis”.

The above means that “hermanos” belong to myself in terms of linguistics. Since they are in plural, you will match the grammatical features of the possessive adjective with the word it describes: “mis hermanos”.

Now you have your grammatical subject. Since it always agrees with the verb, you will conjugate it according to the grammatical person and number it corresponds to. “Mis hermanos” is the third person plural, thus “son”.

Finally, the predicative should match the grammatical features of the subject since, by its meaning, you know it refers to them: “Mis hermanos son altos.”. You may follow the below solutions for further reference.
