Method.
Grammatical subjects are given in each sentence. Recognise the grammatical person they refer to and use the appropriate form of the verb “ser” in the present tense. You may consult the below solutions for further guidance.

Note.

Regarding sentence number 4, the grammatical subject is “tú y tus padres” (you and your parents). In Spain, you would replace this subject with the pronoun “vosotros” and use “sois”, whereas in the Americas “vosotros” is not used at all. Instead, you would treat the subject as “Ustedes” and use “son”.

Objective.
The objective of this exercise is to practise the use of personal pronouns and the verb “ser” in form of questions and answers.

Method.
In this exercise, you are given the grammatical subject and their location. First, you will ask where the subject is from.

Example: Carmela / Bolivia
¿De dónde es Carmela?

Then, you will answer the question in a full sentence by replacing the original subject with the appropriate personal pronoun. Use the location to answer where the subject is from.

Example: Ella es de Bolivia.
