The last sentence prompts you to analyse the phrase “un rato con los amigos”. In Spanish, the adecuate verb in this phrase is “pasar”.

The following two examples will address your negative responses. Simply convert the whole affirmative verbal expression into negative by adding “no” in front of it.

Example 1: Los sábados no me gusta estudiar.
