Exercise 2
Step 1
1 of 3
Objective.
The objective of this exercise is to practise the use of articles in Spanish.
Step 2
2 of 3
Method.
Indefinite articles in their singular form are given for each noun in the first row. Numbers greater than one are then given in the second row. Use the noun from the first row and put it in plural. Then, substitute the number with the appropriate form of the definite article followed by the same noun as in rows one and two. Remember, the article always changes according to the noun it determines. You may refer to the below solutions for further guidance.

1.
cuatro amigos
los amigos

2.
ocho mujeres
las mujeres

3.
siete hombres
los hombres

Exercise 3
Step 1
1 of 4
Objective.
The objective of this exercise is to practise the use of the verb “ser” and the indefinite article.
Step 2
2 of 4
Method.
Subjects and their descriptions are given in pairs for each task. You will write full sentences describing each of them. Each subject is in singular, thus you will use the conjugated form “es” for each sentence. You may refer to the below solutions for further guidance.
Step 3
3 of 4
More options.
Just like in English, you would not naturally stack a number of sentences when there is a logical connection between them. You may use the conjunctions “y” or “pero”, for example, to link the sentences within each task.

Example 1: Roberto es un hombre trabajador y Alejandro es un chico perezoso.
Example 2: Roberto es un hombre trabajador, pero Alejandro es un chico perezoso.

Since the values of the two conjunctions are the same as in English (“and” and “but”, respectively), the subtle difference in the meaning will be the same.

Result
4 of 4
1. Roberto es un hombre trabajador. Alejandro es un chico perezoso.
2. Julia es una mujer alta. Guadalupe es una chica baja.
