Page 2: Vocabulario B
The objective of this exercise is to practice Spanish vocabulary.
You will analyse each sentence and choose the appropriate verb.
In the first sentence, you need to choose between “practicar” and “escuchar deportes”. Semantically, one would play sports rather than listen to them, thus you would choose “practicar”.
The next sentence uses the verb “escuchar” and you need to choose between “bicicleta” and “mĂşsica”. Again, it is more plausible than one listens to music, so you would choose “mĂşsica”.
The third sentence asks you whether you like to “escribir” or “jugar correos electrĂłnicos”. Logically, you would choose to write e-mails, thus you would select “escribir”.
The final sentence prompts you to choose between “descansar” and “mirar la televisiĂłn”. In this case, you would watch television, which is why you would choose “mirar”.
2. mĂşsica
3. escribir
4. mirar

The purpose of this exercise is to read and understand the questions and then respond accordingly.
These are personal questions, thus you will respond in the first person. Mind the verb “gustar” as the item that you like is the grammatical subject. You will need to use the appropriate personal pronoun, which will be “me” in all cases. Below, you will find examples of responses. Respond according to your preferences.
In the first question, you have to choose one of the two options. You will use the above pronoun alongside the verb and then add the option you prefer.
Example: Me gusta más escuchar música.
The following is a yes-or-no question. Remember to respond in complete sentences.
Example 1: SĂ, me gusta practicar deportes despuĂ©s de las clases.
Example 2: No, no me gusta practicar deportes después de las clases.
The last couple of questions are basically of the same type as the first question, but they merely change in form. Respond according to your preferences.
Example: Me gusta más alquilar un DVD.
Example: Me gusta más pasear.
Each time you are presented with an or…or question, you may add the option you prefer less by linking it with the comparative element “que”.
Example 1: Me gusta más escuchar música que leer un libro.
Example 2: Me gusta más alquilar un DVD que andar en patineta.
Example 3: Me gusta más pasear que trabajar.
