In this exercise, there is an incomplete chart containing the three political parties in Puerto Rico. You will open your manual to page 170 and read the text once again. Then, go ahead and complete the chart by saying what each party is in favour for. You may follow the below solutions for further guidance.

3. Integrarse en los EEUU como el Estado 51.

Method.
In this exercise, there is a set of three questions about Puerto Rican culture. Open your manual to pages 176 and 180-181. Read the texts once again and respond to these questions accordingly in full sentences. Given the variety of adecuate answers, only use the below examples as a reference.

Examples.

1. Cuando cumplen los quince años, a las chicas se les llama quinceañeras.
2. En Puerto Rico, las chicas dan fiesta cuando cumplen los dieciséis años.
3. El autor de los retratos Goyita es Rafael Tufiño. Las Goyitas representan a su madre.

A quinceañera is a big coming of age 15th birthday party that includes a lot of dancing, eating, and some unique traditions.

At a quinceañera, there is food in abundance. Enchiladas, tamales, rice and beans, tacos, and other traditional foods are served. Alcohol drinks are offered to adults at the party, but underage guests may toast with a glass of champagne.

A Quinceañera traditionally has her shoes changed from flats into heels by her father. She wears a princess-like dress and a tiara.

She dances with her father and with her Court of Honor (15 people she chose).

Other traditions include the Candle Lighting and the Last Doll.

Don’t forget to include the time and place of the event in your invitation. Quinceañeros usually start late in the afternoon.
