Domestic abuse involves physical, mental, emotional, or sexual violence involving family members. Any forms of intimidation, or neglect can lead to mental and emotional anguish of the victim. Physically, one will notice bruises, broken bones, burns, and worst, death. But bruises can heal but the emotional aspect of being abused remains. It may be carried on to the next generation and the victim may become the abuser as they were not able to escape the abuser’s torment.

A victim can help themselves by resisting the attackers and running away to report them. They can get counseling and get the help of authorities. The abusers also need to get help to stop the pattern of abusive behavior.
