When a person experiences muscle strain, the affected area must be rested until it completely heals. The severity of her muscle strain is likely going to be worse if she would overuse her muscles.

Did you know that there are more than 600 muscles in your body? They do a fantastic job of moving the different parts of your body. Your muscles are the reason why you can move, walk, run, dance, jump, and twirl.

In order to get to know our muscles better, let us know how muscles are made. Muscles are made of fibers or tissues, which are composed of long thin cells that are grouped or bundled together. Our muscles have several bundles of cells and they are wrapped in perimysium. If your muscle is big, then it means there are more bundles of fiber in it. These muscles are attached to your skeletal and they are the ones that help move the bones. When the muscles move, they contract and relax. Contracting the muscles indicates that the muscle fibers stack up and become shorter. On the other hand, relaxing the muscles mean that the fibers slide apart and become longer.

Our muscles fulfill a very important role in our body function. In this case, we should always remember to take care of them. Our muscles need energy and protein in order to become healthy and strong. In addition, proper exercise can help tone them. We should remember that we can prevent muscle strains and injuries by warming up and stretching before doing vigorous physical activities.
