Extended family refers to a family that is composed of the immediate family (parents and children) and additional relatives such as uncles, aunts, grandparents, and cousins.
Supporting your younger sibling means that you show your love and care through actions. In this case, when you help a sibling with his/her difficult assignment, it shows that you care and support him/her.
Changes in family structure include birth and adoption, remarriage, separation and divorce, and death of a family member.
A joint custody refers to the legal custody of child/children that is given to both parents after their divorce.

$textbf{Respect}$ – opinions, privacy,and ideals are held in respect by each family member and being open-minded to it.
$textbf{Commitment}$ – family time is important as they solve problems together and willing to sacrifice things for the benefit of the family.
$textbf{Trust}$ – this is a two-way process that is earned by parents by keeping their promises and being honest. And children earns the trust by being reliable and honest.
On the other hand, real families are rarely tidy and predictable. There are no rules and no certainty because life is more complex than what you see movies and TV shows.
Abuse refers to the way a person mistreats another person through physical, emotion, mental, or sexual means.
Domestic violence is an act of violence and abuse that takes place between family members.
If a parent fails to provide the basic needs of his/her child, then it is considered as neglect, which is a form of child abuse.
Yelling at someone would make that person feel ashamed and worthless. In this case, yelling and threatening a child would leave emotional scars on him/her.
Since children are not capable of earning their own money, elder abuse includes problems that involve the financial aspect of our lives. This occurs when a person manipulates or pressures an elder in order to hand over control to the money or assets.
It is important to seek support from adults who can be trusted with this sensitive information. Abuse is an issue that needs to be addressed immediately since it affects the overall health of a person.
$textbf{Support groups}$ – are groups of several people who are coping with the same problem and get advice from each other.
They both help in lessening the stress caused by issues with the family.
