Exercise 1
Step 1
1 of 4
In this question, you’re asked to interview three classmates about what they wish to do this Saturday. Since these answers will be subjective, you will be provided with a few tips on how to ask and answer these questions.
The example reads:
A: “Roberto, what do you want to do this Saturday?”
B: “I want to go to the mall with…”

Step 2
2 of 4
Speaker A in the example shows you how you will be asking your classmate what they want to do. Since you will be asking everyone the same question (“what do you want to do this Saturday”), your question will never change. The only thing that will change is, of course, the name you use to address your classmate. Note that *este* means “this”.
Step 3
3 of 4
Since you will probably be asked this question by your classmates, it’s important that you also know how to answer it, as well as ask it.
Let’s say, for example, that you want to play basketball on Saturday. You’ll start your response with “*quiero*”, followed by the activity (in this example, *”jugar al básquetbol*”).

Step 4
4 of 4
If you want to be super specific, like in the example, you can follow your activity with who you wish to do it with. Look back to page 83 to see examples of how you can use “*con*” (“with”). If you wish to play basketball with your friends on Saturday, you could end your sentence with *”con mis amigos”*.
