Exercise 1
Step 1
1 of 2
In this exercise, you are asked to converse with a partner concerning the phone numbers of various people shown.
This exercise is mainly designed to test your memory of numbers, as well as your use of the verb *ser* as it pertains to people’s country of origin, and using “no” to negate a sentence.
The example reads:
*A: Ana is from Guatemala. Ana’s telephone number is 3-20-16-04
B: No, Ana’s telephone number is not 3-20-16-04, it is 3-29-16-04*

Step 2
2 of 2
Since all the people we’re talking about are not “you” or “I”, we will be using the third person singular form of *ser* when talking about where they’re from and what their phone number is.
As for the numbers, if you need a refresher, look back at page 18.
Let’s look at an example of a conversation you might have:
*A: Lupe es de Colombia. El telèfono de Lupe es 7-20-11-05.
B: No, Lupe no es de Colombia. Lupe es de Mèxico.*

Note that in this example, the detail I have incorrectly given is that Lupe is from Colombia, which he is not.
