Exercise 1
Step 1
1 of 4
In this section, you are to discuss, with a partner, how frequently you do the activities from the previous exercise. The example reads:
“How often do you practice sports?”
“I practice sports every weekend. And you?”
Step 2
2 of 4
You’ll see, from the example, that “con quĂ© freqcuencia…” is the phrase you will use to ask how often your partner does something. You learned this phrase back on page 96.
Step 3
3 of 4
Since you’re asking your partner, you will be using the informal “*tĂş”* form of your verbs. In the example, this is indicated by the “-as” ending on “*practicas*”. For example, if you’re asking your partner about playing the piano, you would use “*tocas”*.
Step 4
4 of 4
To answer these questions, you will use the “*yo*” form, since you’re talking about yourself using “I”. In this example, this is indicated by the “-o” ending on “*practico”*. So the two parts of your sentence will be the conjugated verb (for example, “*trabaj**o***”) and the time period that answers the question “how often..?”. Some options to use for the time period are given in the third column of the previous activity.
