What is Anatomy And Physiology?

Anatomy and physiology are closely related medical sciences that study the structure and function of the human body, respectively. Anatomy is the study of form and structure while physiology focuses on how the body works in its various functions. While they’re studied separately, anatomy and physiology are very much intertwined because each one informs our understanding of the other.Anatomy studies all structures found within the human body including organs, muscles, bones, tendons, nerves, ligaments and blood vessels as well as their relationship with each other. It also looks at how these structures interact to perform specific tasks or processes that keep us alive such as respiration or digestion. Additionally anatomical knowledge can be used to diagnose medical conditions due to abnormalities in certain areas of the body or connections between different organs systems. Physiology is focused on examining how cells work together to facilitate life-sustaining activities like metabolism, respiration, circulation etc., allowing us to live healthy lives that remain free from disease or injury. Physiologists observe what happens when a change occurs in an organ system such as a decrease in oxygen levels and then determine why it happened so we can better understand normal functioning and health maintenance strategies for prevention of further problems down the road. By combining both anatomy and physiology into one field we can gain a deeper understanding about how our bodies interact with themselves and external environments which gives us insight into diagnosing illnesses quickly so treatments may begin promptly for improved outcomes overall.
