Exercise 6
Step 1
1 of 3
This is a writing exercise. Here you have to write a questionnaire about how to make the best use out of a park.
Step 2
2 of 3
The situation is that a lawn and flowers were planted in a park and a bike trail was built, but people are unsure on how to use the park. You have to write questions you would ask them about how they would use the park if it was theirs. That way you would get ideas on what interests people and how they would make use of the space. You have to include: opening times, duties and rights of the people using it; what the city should guarantee.
Step 3
3 of 3
Go to a different park people usually use and see the rules they have written and also investigate what people do there, how they use the park, what activities they do. That will give you an idea of what kind of questions you have to ask people. Try to get as much information as possible.
