In this exercise, you have to write a letter to a newspaper about the environmental problems and what you think about them.

The topic is the following: you are a member of a group that deals with protecting the environment. You have to write to young people in your community to make them more aware of the problems in the environment and what they can do to help solve them. You have to describe at least two problems, with all their details (what caused them, what is the biggest threat) and what consequences we can expect if they progress. Then, you have to tell them what measures they can take and do to help prevent those consequences.

In this exercise, you have to think of the environmental problems around the globe.

You have to think of the problems and the solutions mentioned in this chapter. We have mentioned global warming, greenhouse effect, animal extinction, loss of forests (the lungs of the Earth), water pollution etc. Mention samo of those and think if that problem exists in the United States and how you would resolve it.

Make a list of all the problems you can think of and then try to remember if you have it talked about as a major problem in the US. Every problem has a solution, but sometimes it is not easy to apply it, as those kind of changes come with a lot of financial and political issues.
