Una de las ruinas que siempre me ha interesado son las Pirámides del Cairo. Son unas construcciones que están rodeadas del misterio de su creación. Los egipcios no tenían la tecnología bastante avanzada como para construir algo así, o así creen los científicos y arqueólogos de hoy. Las pirámides sirvieron como las tumbas de los faraones y allí fue donde escondieron sus riquezas para ser enterados con ellas. Unas de las leyendas y creencias es que las construyeron los extraterrestres y que sus dioses fueron esos mismos extraterrestres que les dieron estos edificios. Tal vez nunca sabremos la verdad o la manera en la que erigieron las pirámides.

Sometimes legends and myths have special functions in society, to make it obey certain rules, to make it more obedient, to make it not question certain things and rules etc. Think if maybe your pick had that kind of purpose in the civilization it originated from.
