In this exercise, you have to pick a legend you are familiar with. If you do not know any legends, look them up in a book, magazine or online and pick the one that is most interesting to you.

After choosing a legend in Exercise 1, make a table and put in the following information:
– The subject
– The situation
– The characters
– The place and time
– The conflict
– How the conflict was solved

Make sure you make the information and detailed as possible as it will make it easier for you to complete the next exercise.

After completing the table in exercise 2 about a legend you have chosen to tell the class, write it down as a story.

Use the vocabulary and grammar you have learned so far in the chapter. If you need an idea of the style you should use, refer to the legend about the indigenous people in Guatemala on page 318. The story should be concise, entertaining, and informative.

This exercise is an addition to exercise 3, where you are presenting your legend to the class. To make it more interesting and fun, you can also include some videos, pictures and music.
