In the selection 1963: The Year That Changed everything, a number of events that took place are highlighted. It began in April, when Dr. Martin Luther King broke a protest law and was arrested. Followed by this arrest, a number of young students began marching each day in protest. After a few days of this, the town agreed on ending segregation, but this did not end the hate and inequality. Later, 4 college teens were assaulted for sitting at a segregated counter to eat and 4 little girls were killed in a church bombing. That bombing took place in the same city where they agreed to end segregation.
