I Am Offering This Poem- all of the third stanza. Words are a great from of direction and comfort. It reminds me of the show Lost and Afraid, where the man recited books and poems the whole time to keep himself company.
Hugging a Jukebox- The last stanza where the grandmother mentions the knowing of losing the island and the jukebox soon.

All three of these poems show how words/music are the power of our minds. No matter where we are or how we feel, we can carry them with us and no one can take them away. This is how we can survive when so much is taken away. War, Holocaust, prisoners- so many of them speak of singing or reciting the bible or books to help them keep sane and pass the time.
