What is 19th Century?
The 19th century was a period of great change and progress for the world. From the beginning of the industrial revolution in England to the founding of new nations like Italy and Germany, this time period saw incredible advances in technology, industry, and politics on a global scale. One of the most notable changes during this era was industrialization, commonly known as the Industrial Revolution. This transformation began with the invention of steam engines in England, which led to advances in transportation and communication that allowed products to be manufactured more efficiently than ever before. In addition to increased efficiency and productivity, these advancements also greatly improved people’s lives by providing them with new jobs, better wages, and access to previously unavailable goods and services.In terms of politics and government, many major changes occurred during this century as well. In particular, constitutional democracies were established throughout Europe along with other democratic reforms such as universal suffrage for men (in some countries) and basic civil rights for all citizens regardless of their social status or wealth level. Furthermore, important international treaties such as The Vienna Congress were signed during this time period which led to increased cooperation between nations amidst rising tensions throughout Europe. The 19th century was also an era filled with great artistic creativity from writers such as Charles Dickens who wrote many famous novels including A Tale Of Two Cities while painters like Vincent van Gogh created some of his most iconic works during this time period as well. Social reformers like Mary Wollstonecraft published her revolutionary book A Vindication Of The Rights Of Women which helped pave the way for future women’s rights activists while inventors like Alexander Graham Bell created technologies that would shape modern communications forever. Overall it can be said without a doubt that the 19th Century was a truly remarkable era filled with immense accomplishments throughout all aspects society from technological breakthroughs to intellectual advancements made possible by some incredible individuals from around the globe.
