We will listen to the dialogue and figure out where each of the students are going for winter break. As they are talking about future plans, they will use both ～つもりだ and ～と思う（～とおもう）to talk about things they intend and expect to do.

There are three categories we have to listen for: where each student is going; what they are planning to do there; and for how long they will be there. Try filling in the chart in the book as you go along—this will help you keep information clearly organized and help you to not forget important details of the students’ itineraries.

Note that some students are merely going somewhere (or not going somewhere) for vacation, while others are returning to their homes. To answer the most precisely, you will want to track the way in which each person goes to their location.

Mary:
韓国に行きます。（かんこくに行きます。）
韓国でたくさん食べます。買い物もします。（かんこくでたくさん食べます。かいものもします。）
一周間ぐらい韓国にいます。（いっしゅうかんぐらいかんこくにいます。）

Robert (note that we will use the slightly more formal 家（いえ）because we are talking about someone else’s home, even though Robert himself says うち):
ロンドンの家に帰えります。（ロンドンのいえにかえります。）
ロンドンで友達に会います。（ロンドンでともだちに会います。）
十二月二十二日から一月二十三日までロンドンにいます。

Takeshi:
どこにも行きません。

Sue:
メアリーさんと一緒に韓国へ帰ります。（メアリーさんといっしょにかんこくへかえります。）
家族に会います。それから友達とスキーをしに行きます。（かぞくに会います。それからともだちとスキーをしに行きます。）
韓国に三週間ぐらいいます。（かんこくに三しゅうかんぐらいいます。）
