The Role of Terrorism in the Creation of Israel. Terrorism was used by the Jewish religion, before it was ever used by any other religion including Muslim. The destruction of Israel appears to be a goal shared by both Islamic and Palestinian terrorist groups. This may be due to the role the Jewish terrorism played in the formation and later expansion of Israel state.
Israel used terror to seize and also expand its territory. Israeli Zionist leaders in 1944 faced two options. Either to allow the Arabs and British to continue to occupy Palestine or to drive both of them out. They chose the latter. The Zionist rulers together with their clandestine terrorists began to exert terrorist means so as to dominate Palestine. The strategy was for the more respectable Zionist to officially disavow terrorism. The terrorists committed crimes so as to panic Arabs
...into flight and also disrupt the British occupation.
The Encyclopedia of the Palestine Problem documents more than 500 terrorist activities against the British occupants and Arabs. The Jewish terrorists used booby traps, land mines, bombings, kidnappings, and bank robberies, torture of prisoners and Murders of British and Arabs. Among the chief terrorists is Menachem Begin (who later became the Israel prime minister in 1977). The terrorist cooperated with highest political bodies of the Jewish Agency, Zionist establishment and Hagana, the popular Zionist resistance army. A number of high profile assassinations helped to drive the British and Arabs away. These terrorism activities made the Arabs to panic into fleeing and the British to into giving up their rule in 1948.
The current day Israel was ruled by the British. To drive away the Arabs and
the British the Jewish resorted to terrorism activities which proved to be successful. Therefore, terrorism played a big role in the creation of the Israel state in 1948.
