Introduction

Childhelp is a nationwide non-profit organization which has the full devotion to the task of preventing child abuse and administering treatment to the wounded or traumatized victims. Sara O'Meara together with Yvonne Fedderson set up the association in the year 1959 it had its roots from International Orphans, Inc before the development of Childhelp.

The association is one of the biggest non-profit organizations devising ways to prevent and treat victims of child abuse in the country. It is operational in some states due to having its facilities in states like California, Tennessee, Virginia, and Arizona (Childhelp organization, 2015).

Interview findings

raise its efforts on creating awareness regarding child abuse. Among those endeavors in 2000, Childhelp did set up a National Day of Hope for creating public awareness to all residence of the U.S. The set day is on Wednesday in the first week of April in the National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

During the year 2009, the organization had its celebration of the 50th anniversary. Childhelp is dependent upon the private donations for the expansion of its functions and services facilities across the country. Following a report written on 2007 by the Department of Health and Human Services in the U.S, approximately five children die each day because of encounters of child abuse and falling victims of neglect by parents or guardians. Moreover, there are millions of reports made annually of child abuse.

Work Commitment at Childhelp organization

The commitment level is a challenging and a multi-faceted process to build, and it lacks a definite outcome, it gives results that take different forms. Work commitment definition is the relative significance of the job and the person doing that job (Loscoco, 1989). Job responsibility is also an individual's devotion to the ethics at work, the commitment level of a profession/work, job participation, and the organizational loyalty level (Morrow, 1993). The people can feel very dedicated to an organization for different reasons, for example, top executive, managers/ superiors, or a particular work team. Therefore, the commitment level even at Childhelp organization is in regards to the examination of "job, union and career" (Darolia et al, 2010). Research displaying examples of the increased level of high work commitment also prove to have the strong association with the organizational performance.

These celebrities such as Jane Seymour sponsor the pillow contest to engage the children between the ages of 7-14 years to design a pillow that connects with the protection against trauma from child abuse and neglecting of children. Another effort is using the Childhelp National hope day to attract sponsors from the government leaders like the members of Congress. The low commitment level creates the biggest challenges for the institute that needs a rapid address.

Medium commitment

The volunteering hours falls in this category. The

volunteer hours include the time spent on the outreach programs in designing posts or advertisement to attract sponsorship programs. The programs incorporation the counseling sessions for athletes, students, community, law enforcement and parents/ guardians counseling session by volunteers under the institute also fall in this category (Hopper, 2001). The volunteers receive no payment.

Therefore, it attracts generous individuals mostly which fails to be sufficient at all times. The programs mostly need social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and doctors to facilitate the treatment of the trauma victims (Van, 2001).

High commitment

The fundraising activities are in this section. The use of national hope day for Childhelp leads in attaining donations for the organization. The institute conducts activities like nationwide challenges for children in schools and home to assist them to realize the meaning of child abuse and neglecting children, ways of helping to prevent such actions.

The fundraising activities of collecting clothes in schools, seeking services from medical facilities help many the union's services in the achievement of the set objective. Thus, activities that fundraise becomes the high level of commitment to the set mission of the company.

Conclusion

An additional effort to help boost the commitment level in this department is the use of radio and television to make an advertisement to people. This approach not only creates awareness of the nation on the consequences of child abuse but also, it attracts sponsors of the programs for national holidays like Christmas holiday or Easter. Furthermore, the creation of suggestion boxes helps to report cases of child abuse in the school for relevant authorities to address the problem.

Therefore, Childhelp organization is evidently among the best non-profit organizations.
