One of the most impactful experiences in my life occurred when I was years old. At that time, my parents decided that I should experience living in Nigeria, their home country in Africa. I resided in Nigeria for one and a half years, and this experience truly transformed my life.

Living in a developing country after spending my entire life in a developed one was both challenging and enlightening. The differences in housing, the sight of children without shoes in rural areas, and the simple yet joyful meals we enjoyed all provided unique experiences. This phase of my life taught me to appreciate even the smallest things. In Africa, being the eldest son meant that I received a level of respect similar to that of my father because it is culturally believed that I have nearly equal status. This responsibility involved being consulted and expected to act responsibly when my father was not present or during important decision-making moments. My father, with his African values and cultural background, played an important role in instilling these principles in me as well. He took the initiative to sit down with me and explain how I should behave, which has influenced many of the principles I uphold today.

Being a male child, I have assimilated traditional gender roles such as assuming responsibility, making significant decisions, and showing respect for gender. These values were further instilled in me as the eldest sibling, where I frequently took charge and cared for my younger siblings when our parents were absent. Growing up in Nigeria exposed me to communal activities and taught me the importance of

serving others, prioritizing the well-being of loved ones over personal gain. Collaborating with my mother in the social service sector has reinforced my belief in teamwork. Moreover, participating in music-related endeavors and volunteering with churches and organizations within Nigeria have deepened my comprehension of societal issues and emphasized the necessity of collective action.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is an aspect of my work that involves collaborating with various organizations who have asked me to join them in engaging my fans. I am passionate about serving communities at different levels, and I find great joy in partnering with individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds. These interactions foster open-mindedness, while the diversity of perspectives helps shape my approach to addressing different issues.
