What is Natural Resources?
Natural resources are the materials and energy sources that exist naturally on Earth, such as air, water, land, and plants. These resources form the basis of our life on Earth and provide us with all of our needs for food, shelter, clothing, and transportation. Natural resources are essential to meet the needs of humans in terms of basic survival requirements. Without them we would not be able to sustain life.Natural resources can be divided into renewable and nonrenewable resources. Renewable resources are those that can be replenished or replaced naturally over time such as wind energy, solar energy or biomass energy like wood or waste products from agriculture. Nonrenewable resources are those that cannot be replaced once they have been used up like fossil fuels (oil, coal etc.) and minerals (metals). It is important to recognize the importance of natural resources in order to ensure their sustainable use in the future. This includes using renewable sources of energy instead of nonrenewable ones wherever possible and conserving our natural environment by reducing pollution levels through better waste management systems or other measures such as planting more trees for oxygen production and carbon dioxide absorption. We must also take steps towards reducing exploitation of these vital resources including practices like illegal logging or overfishing which could have a devastating impact on ecosystems worldwide if left unchecked.
