After that, ask your questions to your classmate and answer his questions too.

Había unas ollas. – There were some pots.

The verb *haber (imperfect había)* needs to stay in the singular, although a plural follows.

A: ¿Qué había en la estufa? B: Había unas ollas.

A: ¿Qué había en el suelo? B: Había un bebé, unos juguetes, y una bolsa.

A: ¿Qué había en la mesa? B: Había unos tamales y una masa.
