Academic and Career Goals
From the past, engineering has been and still remains my field of interest. In particular, the aerospace engineering has attracted my interest, and it has made me to seek the necessary knowledge in class and out of class to get the practical skills. I desire to pursue a career in the aerospace engineering, so that I may get a chance to study about the programs and designs associated with aero planes. In connection to this, I sought to begin my career as a qualified engineer and get a chance to work in one or more of the renowned aircraft companies. To achieve this objective, I realized that I need to attend the classes associated with the discipline I was aimed at pursuing. I managed to pursue the course, and my lecturer encouraged m
...e during lectures to work hard and make sure I accomplish my goals.
After working as an engineer, I intended to go back to class and pursue a higher degree in the same discipline. The advanced degree would help me to acquire a managerial job in the same aerospace companies. My classroom main mentor in the next degree was the lecturer once again, since he gave me the insight on what is required of me to get to the level I was yearning to achieve. Apart from the lecturer, I was encouraged by a number of professionals in aerospace engineering who used to visit the campus from time to time and give us valuable advice on matters relating to the aerospace science. Their influence was significant, because they made me believe that I will emerge victorious at the end of the
academic journey just like them.
Outside classroom, I owe gratitude to my own biological dad, who tirelessly encouraged me to seek knowledge about aerospace engineering. He was an aerospace engineer, and he used to make sure that he cultivated passion about the course in me. Through his continued encouragement, he made me get the interest and eventually I ended up in the course. Owing to the fact that I was seeking a managerial post in a company that was doing well, my father made me to believe that it was possible. He was at that time working as a vice president in a famous aerospace company. The fact that he was my dad and my basic mentor, I was so much influenced by his achievements.
The greatest influence from my father was that he was very close to me as the family head and the provider of my basic needs. At least, during my studies and the search for a job, I had a role model by my side to encourage me. I was really proud of his achievements, and that alone gave me a reason to do all what it takes to be like him. It is him who assisted me to find a profound passion in engineering of the aerospace, and I have all reasons to believe that he played a major role in shaping my academic and career life. I owe him all my respect, together with my lecturers and visitors who gave me mentorship in class when I was learning the theoretical part of it and the accompanying practical. These are the people who made me what I am as far as my
career is concerned. I cannot underrate their influence.
