Personality Description and Life Goals

The Erikson's theory best describes my behavior as it provides distinct characteristics for each of the eight stages of development that I have experienced.

According to Erikson's theory of personality, I have experienced and exhibited behaviors that align with each development stage. These stages include infancy, early childhood, play age, school age, adolescence, early adulthood, and mature adulthood. During my infancy (0-1 years), I displayed a behavior of placing trust in individuals based on their caretaking. I felt more at ease with familiar faces rather than strangers.

During my early childhood, I expressed confidence with the support I received. I confidently articulated the few words I had learned. As I reached the play stage of development, my behaviors were fluid, and I began to feel occasional guilt due to my failures.

Throughout my school age years, I became more creative and self-assured, fully dedicated to achieving my future aspirations.

During adolescence, I had a tendency to be self-reliant and I possessed a strong belief in the validity of my choices. My primary focus was on constructing my own identity. Despite my desire for autonomy, my parents felt compelled to oversee my decision-making process to ensure their accuracy. As I am currently in the early stages of adulthood, my behavior aligns with Erikson's theory of development for this stage. It is during this phase that I am particularly interested in forming new friendships.
