I am extremely happy to be among the great group of students who were academically eligible to apply for membership in National Honor Society. The organization is known for recognizing students with exceptional grades, leadership, character, and service. As a very determined, hard working person, I believe that being part of the National Honor Society at Scecina Memorial would really benefit my character and scholastic abilities in the years to come. I definitely feel that I have represented many examples of scholarship, leadership, character, and service which would make me an excellent candidate for National Honor Society at Scecina Memorial High School.
As a student at Scecina Memorial, I always work hard to get good grades and am eager to improve in classes I know I could be
...doing better in. Last semester I received a GPA of 4.13 and I am aiming to take more honors and AP courses in the near future. I have also been on the high honors list since last year as a freshman. I believe these academic achievements really show my determination to keep my grades up and prove that as a scholar I would make a great member of National Honor Society.
As a leader I believe that I show qualities that help me become a better role model for others. I am involved in many extracurricular activities and have led many activities for the youth groups, including a Summer Bible School at Holy Spirit Catholic School. I was also a team captain for the freshman soccer team for half of the season until I moved up to varsity. During activities where I am a leader I try my best
to listen to other people’s ideas and strive to make the activity as fun as possible for those involved.
I strongly believe that I have many important characteristics that will eventually help me succeed later in life. I’m very dedicated in the extracurricular activities I participate in including sports, school, and church. I am always being very respectful toward my teachers giving them my full attention and completing their assignments on time. I am also very caring and try to lend a hand whenever I am able too especially at Holy Spirit when they need altar servers for the weekend.
Service in my opinion provides me with many life skills and knowledge while also helping those who need it the most. I have participated in many activities that have helped serve my church and community. For example, last summer my sister and I helped clean up trash and take down tents after Holy Spirit’s Summer Festival. My sister and I also volunteer to altar serve when needed at Holy Spirit on the weekends. This is how I represent the tenet of service in my community and church.
