Sub Dermal Implant
The sub dermal implant is recognized for both its visual appeal and functionality within the body. An important characteristic of this implant is its inclusion of the progestin hormone.
According to a 2014 Medical Bag article, it was reported that a hormone has the ability to prevent ovulation for three years while also thickening cervical mucus to block sperm from reaching the fallopian tube and fertilizing eggs. This implant is reversible, allowing for removal in case of unexpected results or adverse side-effects. Unlike oral medication, people prefer the implant because it can be withdrawn if it becomes incompatible with the body. Additionally, the implant provides benefits such as cancer prevention, weight retention control, acne and unwanted hair prevention, as well as menstrual cycle regulation.

According to Drugs.com (2016), Alesse is linked to several side effects such as vomiting, bloating, headache, and swelling. Nevertheless, certain women may not encounter any side effects. It is crucial to highlight that pregnant women should avoid using Alesse as it can disrupt fetal development.
As per WebMD (2016), Enpresse is a contraceptive specifically formulated for birth control purposes and contains both estrogen and progestin. Its role is to enhance the viscosity of vaginal fluid during the ovulation phase of the menstrual cycle.
WebMD (2016) states that the pill works by blocking the movement of sperm
towards the eggs in the fallopian tube. Additionally, it alters the uterine wall to create a barrier for sperm passage and inhibits the attachment of a fertilized egg in the uterus. In cases where an egg is accidentally fertilized during ovulation, the pill prevents its attachment to the uterine wall.
Thus, the fertilized egg is expelled from the uterus through urine discharge.
