What is Natural And Man Made?
ResourcesNatural resources are those that exist in nature and can be used to support life. Examples of natural resources include air, water, soil, rock, minerals, plants and animals. Natural resources can be renewable or non-renewable depending on their ability to replenish or regenerate over time.Man-made resources are those made by people or created through human activities. These include manufactured goods such as tools, vehicles and machines; materials such as plastics and metals; energy sources such as petroleum and coal; infrastructure such as roads and bridges; and information systems like computers. Man-made resources are not naturally occurring but must be produced through human intervention. Both natural and man-made resources play an important role in our lives. Natural resources provide us with the raw materials we need to survive: food, water, clothing and shelter. Man-made resources allow us to make use of these materials more efficiently by providing the technology needed for production processes like agriculture, industry or transportation. In addition, man-made structures like dams provide us with a source of clean energy from hydropower while things like satellites help us collect data about our environment for better management decisions. As populations grow around the world so too do our needs for both natural and man-made resources making it increasingly important that we manage them wisely so they can continue to sustain future generations.
