The Nazi party seizes a housewares plant from Jewish businessmen, and Oskar Schindler, a confident hustler, agrees to take control. Even though the World Jewish Congress objected to filming at Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp, Spielberg chose to film right outside its gates.
