1. First, discuss the general theme of fear amongst the members of the group. Make sure to take everyone’s thoughts into consideration. This will ensure that each team member’s voice can be heard.

2. Once a general discussion has been done, ask each team member what themes pertaining to fear interest them. In this way, we can group students by those themes to write down detailed notes. For example, a student wants to examine the psychology of fear while another wants to discuss how the background or environment can set the tone for a “scary” environment. When students work on ideas of interest to them, they can provide stronger discussion points.

3. Once everyone completes their notes, let the students share their individual thoughts. This will allow the group to see the theme of fear through different perspectives.
