Malala Yousafzai is the youngest ever winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, at 16 years old. She had a passion for women’s rights and girls’ education ever since she was young, and while she first only wrote her ideas in a diary, she soon spoke about them publicly in a news interview. Her name eventually grew to such levels of recognition in Pakistan that the extremist group the Taliban decided to kill her. However, by some miracle, she survived the gunshot to the head, and now has a published book.
