Thoreau’s attitude toward home ownership is that a home is like a seat, and the best seat is a “country seat,” but he notes that this seat is wherever he sat, his home is wherever he sat as the “landscape radiated from [him]” (Thoreau, paragraph 1).
This relates to his experience in the woods and his view of life because it is not really about ownership, it is a simple view, a simple view of homage.
