According to Stephen Ellis, the Africa’s post-Cold War wars gradually instigated throughout the Cold War (1948-1989) andhad historical origins in that erafootnoteRef:2. According to him, the nature of the Wars unquestionably transformed since the dreadful fight during the mid-twentieth century. He added that, the violence had increased for the past few years and that the traditional ideology of Trinitarian War has remained resilient and still dominates the international rule- making.

Shabaab of the eastern Africa and dominantly in Kenya and Somalia and the Second Libyan Civil War to the north of the Sahara desertfootnoteRef:4.These violent and terrorist groups have taken the shape of the civil war among diverse ethnic groups and coalitions of sectarian that are fighting to have control of state itself.

Apart from these reasons, ethnicity has been rated among the primarygrounds of conflict in Africa. An example is in Sudan, Somalia, and Nigeria. Ethnic violence is caused by greed for power and differences in cultural, economic and social interestsfootnoteRef:5. Another major reason for terrorism and violence in Africa is the offensive nature of the inter-state border clashes. Almost all the state borders were grabbedfrom the colonial times. They were the products of reconciliation and treaties amongst the colonial powers. These boundariesare poorly placed as they were deciding in Europe with the help of poor African maps and with slight attention to Africans. After independence, the African leaders and governments did not make any adjustments and in this way, the adjustments were almost impossible as the nations did not gain independence at the same time.

Other reasons that have been a cause of terrorism and violence in Africa include poor economic performances, military interventions, political rivalries with international rules and the political rivalries with the domestic groups.
In conclusion, African communities should adopt liberalization and autonomy and reflect on the fact that their worth systems are never engaged into justification appropriately by the culture where they have parties that rule it. It is thus required for African leaders to rise and meet the challenge of developing their nations and create peace alliances for the benefit of all

citizens.
