My name is Chen Ying Ting and I have lived in different places. In my childhood, I was raised by a single father since my mother was not present. However, the love from my father made up for the lack of maternal affection. Despite being an only child at home, I have developed a high level of independence and maturity compared to others my age. It wasn't until later in life that I began living with my father, and currently, I have been residing in Shanghai for eight years.
Despite my father's unwavering love for me, I had a strong commitment to moral integrity, which left little room for mistakes. As a result, I approached my actions cautiously. ...in life. Education was always highly valued by my parents as they hoped for me to become a valuable individual. However, due to growing up in a different environment, I didn't return to Taiwan and start attending school until eighth grade at the age of 15. Throughout this period, there were many things that puzzled me, including the written language and even daily routines.
During my junior year and a half, I actively participate in classes and services to maintain my results at the right degree. English has always been a subject in which I excel, igniting my interest in it. I consistently achieve top grades in all my English courses. Conversely, subjects like Mathematics, Physical Chemistry, and cramming for exams do not appeal to me. As a result, I choose to focus on my favorite
classes, specifically English. Growing up in Shanghai has provided me with a solid foundation in Chinese; however, I am also committed to mastering the English language. Consequently, I eagerly seek to deepen my understanding of English and have decided to pursue Applied Foreign Languages as my major.
