Strengths of Upgrading the Equipment. It is cost effective in the long run; no regular servicing or maintenance. It will be more efficient since all its parts are in good condition. It saves time as it does not require regular servicing. Weaknesses of Upgrading the Waste management Equipment. It requires high initial capital outlay for procuring and installing the equipment. Skilled labor might be required if the equipment to be purchased is different from the one being used. It can lead to further costs in case it breaks down.
Why the Committee should go for Equipment Upgrading Option. The use of old equipment is expensive in the long run as compared to upgrading the equipment because the equipment require regular servicing and maintenance.
