In the recent past, the world has been made a place easy to reach people within the shortest time possible as a result of the advancing technology as people can make calls, email, or even video call over long distances. However, there remains a need to move around for physical contact on certain matters and one of these matters is delivering goods and this happens to be the main aim of our company. We ought to use certain modes of transport for differentiated reasons but I think it is the time that we go for air and sea transport to deliver our goods. It is not often that people stop to look around and figure out their actual impact on the environment, society and economy but I have done so and thus have realized that our compa
...ny would be fairer to these components of human existence and to itself if it used sea and air forms of transport (Latif, et al, 2014).
These forms of transport are not new to our company but we have not gone viral on their usage. Air transport is very fast and that is one reason we should use it to deliver our phones (Latif, et al, 2014). There are times we require to make emergency deliveries and it is for this reason that we should go for it. Air transport is not common or accessible to every Jill and John and this can play to be an advantage for us bearing in mind that there will be minimal congestion in the cargo transportation sector thus speeded services in our company (Latif, et al, 2014). It is important to note tha
unlike using vehicles, one plane will carry a considerable amount of deliveries one that would take several vehicles to transport, the emission of one plane is definitely smaller than that of several vehicles and thus this method is even more environmental friendly (Latif, et al, 2014).
The society will suffer minimal disturbance from planes as it would from vehicles because the planes have minimal contact with people on the surface (Latif, et al, 2014). In terms of the economy, the cost of transportation may seem high but when professionally looked at, it proves more convenient because the cost of purchasing or hiring many vehicles, refueling them severally, securing their insurances, paying drivers and worrying about the safety of goods in different locations is not the most profitable method of transport(Latif, et al, 2014). That is what happens every time we use road transport and it will be eliminated if we use air transport.
Sea transport is relatively slow but is equally as convenient as air because it can transport very large quantities of our phone deliveries (Palmer, 2015). Sea transport is again convenient because it does not involve much tracking, we will be able to calmly wait for our goods to be delivered with peace of mind (Palmer, 2015). This method is highly convenient because it does not pollute the environment much because it uses sea and thus is a place where no environmental change has to be done for it to become operation as trees would be cut and tunnels dug in the case of land transport (Palmer, 2015). This method is very convenient to the society because it forms an effective mode of transportation that
does not cause any disturbance on the society because it does not go hooting over the corner and people’s doorstep (Palmer, 2015).
These two modes of transport are expensive to purchase a plane or cargo ship but they are easily available to hire (Palmer, 2015). When transporting goods using these modes we will be required to particularly insure our goods from the specific risks specified by the transportation companies. There will be also payments to clear our goods at the ports after they have landed in the destination country (Palmer, 2015). These are methods that will prove more effective in our operations and thus, I leave it for the company’s administration to weigh the odds.
