We live in a society where women have had no say in how to dress, behave or speak in public. A woman’s appearance is a woman’s identity in today’s society. If women intend to be classy the society might find her to be “trashy.” For women who intend to be empowering, society may call her an attention seeker, a wild child, a slut etc.

The most talked about pop star this year is Miley Cyrus. She has become classified as America’s wild child in Rolling Stone magazine. On the front cover of the magazine she appears nude and licking her right shoulder. On one of the headings, I read, “Good Golly Miley.” This specific heading suggests the changes Miley has shown the world.

Since Miley has gone from Disney’s Hannah Montana in the year 2006 to an American pop star in 2013, social media has degraded her in different ways. Her name went from the innocent Hannah Montana to “A strategic Hot Mess” according to Perez Hilton. However, that does not affect Miley.

Miley reported on the “Today” show that she has never been happier in her entire life. She also claimed that she is enjoying life the way she intends to regardless of what anybody has to say.
