Definition of success varies from individual to individual, depending upon a range of factors like ambition in life or the circumstances under which the individual has been brought up. In my opinion long term success means recognition as a dedicated individual to the cause and an expert in the field of my choice. This has been the driving force behind my opting to seek admission for the Masters course at Pratt Institute for advanced study. In know, the mission of Pratt institute is ‘to educate artists and creative professionals to be responsible contributors to society’.

I am also a budding youth with dreams in my eyes and plans up my sleeve for the future.What I am looking for is someone who can polish my plans and encourage me for being successful in life. I am sure Pratt Institute must be on the lookout for students having an urge to serve the industry and eager to dedicate themselves for learning the modern techniques of architecture.
My short term goal is to gain credentials as a qualified learner, who’s ready to accept the challenges and learn from them. The changing needs of the society provide quite a few innovative ideas and challenges to re-dedicate oneself for the
cause.In the long term I see myself having my own construction and architectural company with an ability to build homes and landmark buildings for the people in general. Globalization and liberalization are the factors which have given a flip to the international investment climate, as it calls for the companies to look around for investment and marketing opportunities. In order for such investments to start gaining the benefits of globalization, the companies and financial institutions need to set up their offices and other facilities, which require the assistance of architectures and construction consultants.The construction industry has therefore become one of the most competitive one in view of the diverse demands and the alternatives in the market.
The industry is therefore supposed to have a global focus even while planning for local needs. Pratt seeks to inculcate the qualities like aesthetic judgment, professional knowledge, collaborative skills, and technical expertise amongst the students, which are an effective way of polishing the individual’s qualities.
