Philosophical concepts on fair play is considered to be thoughts couching and in general is supports believe that, sports remains to be a kind of moral pursuit which in particular emphasizes on the effective participation. The fair play in philosophical thoughts focuses mainly on the following; respect to all rules concerning the game, adhering to the officials’ decisions, respecting the opponents, under all circumstances maintain self dignity and equal treatment to all participants in the game. The idea of fail play philosophy is understood to be a universal concept or knowledge (Devine, 2013).
Sportsmanship is seen to be an ethos or a form of aspiration in which sport activity be enjoyed by all the people with interests, however, there must be point of fairness, maximum respect and total compliance to the pertaining ethics. Generally, the concept of sportsmanship
...captures the expected behaviors and traits which commonly are associated with ideas of personal treatment and assistance to others especially while in compromising conditions. There are four main elements of sportsmanship which include equity, point of fairness, the spirit or the will to win and being good form (Devine, 2013). However, the main idea in this case is to embrace the point of morals for the players and any other stakeholders in the sports. This is emphasized to ensure during the game battle there are no conflicts which may result.
Athletic superiority has been mostly criticized; this is because of its association with discrimination and unequal treatment which seems to violate the principles of sportsmanship and fair play thoughts (McIntosh, 2010). Making the individual and teams inferior in relation to all other forms of games in sports definitely raises
unethical issues to the whole industry of sports. In addition, the criteria to on this debate of athletics superiority employ very compromising principles which is very conflicting.
There should be equal fair treatment without neglecting or discriminating anybody who willingly participate in sports activities; this because Bible, the holy book clearly explains that every human being has a distinct talent and ability which should be respected under whatever the conditions or circumstances (Smith, 2003).
