l classroom models of evaluation towards refining and consolidating new schemes to further the goal of student learning (NCLRC, 2004).As a future educator, it is then vital for me to effectively understand these ideas to efficiently create approaches and adjust to the needs of my students. is advantageous because it gives me the flexibility to actively point out on what areas/dimensions I can focus into and create a scenario that is congruent to the subjects’ goals and objectives.

Another style that I feel would fit this description involves creating a checklist for my students. This can be used “for observing performance in order to keep track of a student's progress or work over time” (NCLRC, 2004, p. 1). Under this strategy, I feel that I can maximize my students’ strengths and address their weak points because of its ability to monitor their performance under prescribed guidelines.

Though this practice can limit down the areas of measurement, it can generate the criteria to address the activity given to them. Applying this framework can thus be beneficial especially in task-specific/oriented actions.Relating this to the idea of self reflection and its relevance to student learning, I feel that understanding the tenets and ideas of alternative assessments can give opportunities for me as an educator to expand my insight and horizons as far as the teaching practice is concerned. In here, I can be able to acquire new skills that can be beneficial for my future students and portray new options. By doing this, I can address and adapt to the challenges of 21st century education and promote learning that is encompassing, facilitative and administrative.
