Ron Clark Essay The Ron Clark story was a very touching story that had a lot to do with the lessons we have been learning on paradigms. The way we see the world in terms of our visual sense of sight, but terms of understanding or interpreting. People’s paradigms are based on their environment, behavior, attitude, post experiences and beliefs and also your values. What is your driving force? Who or what is your obsession? The Ron Clark story is about a teacher who is in a nice town with decent students.

This teacher always tells his students to go for their dreams and that they could be anything they wan to be. When they make his own personal parking space he sees it as his tombstone, or where he will spend the rest of his life. He

...

soon realizes that all the advice he gives to his 6th grade students is true. So he wants a more challenging job, so he goes to New York’s schools because he wants to make a difference and help the children succeed.

Ron soon finds how hard it was to live in New York let alone teach there. He goes from school to school trying to find a teaching job opening, finally found one in a run down school. He offers to take one of the worst classes. This class is bad, even the principal thought that Mr. Clark should have another class. So Mr.

would never do any good. So these kids are telling themselves that they won’t make it before they even tried. There is no trying, do or do not.

Mr. Clark tells the principal that they are setting the bar to low for these kids, if they were to set the bar higher the children would accomplish more by their driving force. The little girl that is one of the main characters in the story is threatening the teacher, not listening to orders and not doing her school work. The mother likes her to be home to baby-sit the younger kids while she is at work.

Mr. Clark reaches this group of kids by showing that he cares for them.Like when he went to the little girl’s apartment he offered to make dinner so shmakia could rewrite her essay. He also made an effort to show that he is jus like the kids. And how he can learn stuff when he makes a deal with the kids on the playground that he could double Dutch. Also right away in the beginning when the boy is in the hall standing in the trash can, he says that his teacher said he was a good for nothing kid.

Well Mr. Clark Took him out of the can and showed that he cared and he could do anything. He also shows that boy that he can remember stuff when he says he forgot his name.Closer to the end of the movie the child who gets beat up by his guardian says that he is not worth anything and Mr.

Clark should leave him alone. Mr. Clark says he is worth

something and he is not going anywhere. The children in this story had little to no values when they first started out. After Mr.

Clark showed some compassion and that the class really could achieve what they wanted. He wanted them to value their values more and gain more self control, responsibility, hard work and honesty. The value of hard work was shown when he had to get the class ready for the state tests and how little time they had.Self control was to listen in class more and not be so rude and obnoxious to others, Clark said that the class was a family and then he explained how family’s work together. In the end the children do great on the state tests, so good they beat the advance classes scores.

The most troubled children in the classroom turn out to do great on the test, one even scored perfect in two sections. They had out little trophies at the end to the children and they start to sing the president rap at the end. Over all this movie showed great values hard work and how one person could make a difference even in the worst of places.
