This causes me to question if history is repeating itself, as it did 70 years ago and still does today due to our enduring strong alliance with America. Even though we now have our own nation, we still depend on the Americans. There is no denying that they wield significant influence over us in areas such as economy, business, entertainment, and more. As evidenced by our current state, we are gradually adopting American customs and culture.

We tend to have a preference for American products and aspire to live or work in America instead of our own country, the Philippines. We communicate in English, their native language, for business and education purposes, which I believe is incorrect considering our current situation as Filipinos. Therefore, we should prioritize using our own language. It is crucial to acknowledge that with this mindset, our nation will never achieve progress. My hope is that eventually, the Philippines can be self-sufficient without depending on aid from America or other foreign governments.

It is imperative that we acknowledge and confront the issue of foreign domination that has shaped our country for centuries. This requires us to realize that change starts from within and to rally behind our own nation. While difficult, this is essential for a more robust and prosperous Philippines. The moment has arrived for us to establish our unique national identity.
