My profession preference is pediatric nursing. Nursing is a tremendously demanding profession. Having a bachelor’s degree can open many doors within the scientific discipline. We have got nurses who work with youngsters, those who work in Hospice and a few who takes managerial roles as a Director of nursing. The delight of knowing you're assisting someone and that your task makes a difference in someone else’s health is the greatest return. “Pediatric nurses provide preventive and acute care in all settings to children and adolescents” (Best Nursing Schools in the US 23).

Pediatric nursing requires a choice to work with kids. Pediatric nurses work in a number of settings, including clinics, hospitals, and schools. As a pediatric nurse, I will carefully work with the family in the care of the child. Pediatric nu

Bonds are formed among nurse and child in the course of their remedy. It takes a strong loving man or woman to work daily in a children’s unit. My long term goals are to obtain my Master of Science degree in Nursing and find a career at a hospital as a Nurse Practitioner. My short term goal is to finish my Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (Russo 15).

Nursing is an opportunity that offers me the chance to serve others, having any kind of effect in the lives of others through consideration, counteractive action and wellbeing. I believe that I have a place in this field because since the time was a kid, I generally needed to make

a constructive impact on individuals' lives. “Once your state board of nursing has verified your eligibility to take the NCLEX examination, you will receive an Authorization to Take the Test” (The NCLEX® Exam 56).

I generally felt the need to help to somebody I know that I have the force and the decision to do as such. My childhood experiences impacted my longing to look after individuals. All for the duration of my life, I see every diverse type of individuals in destitution may it be babies, kids, elderly individuals and even debilitated individuals. Consistently, I would see them in the city asking others for cash to make sure they could treat their feeble relatives. At whatever point I see them, I felt so feeble. I needed to help them, yet I didn't know how since I was only a kid. However, “nurses develop a plan of care, working collaboratively with physicians, therapists, the patient, the patient's family and other team members, that focuses on treating illness to improve quality of life”(Nursing 61).

Turning into a pediatric nurse will enable me to help some individuals who are enduring. Another explanation behind my choice to end up a nurse is my sister, who is in a nursing colleague. She recommended that I get to be one. Her stories from the doctor's facility, simply roused me and made me understand that nursing is genuine for me. She says that the sentiment of helping a complete stranger in their most prominent time of need resembles no other feeling on earth (Russo 18). Keeping in mind the end goal to wind up a nursing career, I probably must have a Bachelor

of Science in Nursing, and Master of Science in Nursing. The required training takes around six years to finish. Once the recorded degree projects are finished the medical nurse, I should take a confirmation exam to test my competency. On the off chance that i have the longing to work in a specific zone, then extra tests might be required. Once the exam has been taken and passed, an approval will be added to the existing RN certificate.

I will be needed in all types of situations from surgical rooms to occupational health. There are many types of nursing; personally, I will be specializing in pediatric nursing (How to Become a Nurse 67). Some of the types of nursing are; AIDS care nurse, Ambulatory nurse, Cardiac rehabilitation nurse, Case Management, Correctional nurse, Enterostomal therapy nurse, Genetics nurse, and many others. As a requirement, I will be spending time in a hospital for some form of college credit. In these instances I will experience multiple different areas of nursing which will be extremely helpful to me in my final decision if nursing is for me and what exact field of nursing I want to work in. According to Nursing in the United States, “Prerequisites for nursing school depend on the school, with baccalaureate programs requiring more courses, in general, than associate degree programs that help student develop their career ” (23).

Nursing will give me a job and an opportunity in life. It is something that will give me some good earnings as a career. Other than giving me a good job, nursing will give me a privilege to work with people from all walks of life and

provide them with care. As a nurse, I will be working to improve the health of the community (Careers in Nursing 46). I know that nursing is physically and mentally draining at times, but that is nearly every job. If I was meant to be a nurse the way I believe I am, then I know I will make it through the hard times. I am extremely excited and nervous to start this career of my life, but I cannot wait to see what nursing will really bring me.
