It was in the year 2011 that I decided to join the missionary to China in aid of escaped North Korean refugees and the local Chinese poor community. The aim of the particular event was to offer a safe place for the refugee to stay and support the corresponding life needs. This act of charity was not only meant for provision of food and medical support but also psychological support through Christian faith which was an action that could leave these patients relieved. I had pleasure offering assistance as a graduated nurse student in which I explored a lot through the World Mission and as a medical doctor among many other medical professions that I encompassed. The Chinese government torture Chinese Christians and push out any different Christian in China and thus I had a tough time in the place. However, there is always a solution to every situation and there is this little girl that I will never forget who made me think of staying a bit longer in the place. The girl was to be sold for little amount and I had to do everything to save her life. This was an opportunity that made me gain more experience as well as learn more about the provision of care in the medical profession. Nursing is not a stagnating profession and I have to go on through education, the facts of peers that younger as well as older can offer
my skills and challenges to exhibit the fruit of the courage. I am thankful for the opportunity because it increased my clinical skills and I look forward to seeing what future hold for me. In future, I would also prefer to not only be more competent in the medical profession but also offer more holistic support since I feel that is my area of expertise.
